SPECULATIONS Art Moderne

Home

Rusty Speck has been a prime midwest artisan for over 30 years. He works in many mediums ranging from sculpture to acrylic paint to bring color into your chosen environment. Speculations artwork breathes stories from each piece, with undertones of hope and solitude from a comfortable place.

Current work includes some off-kelter architecture alluding to a foreign safehaven for your ideas, and blends well with modern decor. Browse through our online gallery of paintings and photography to get a better sense of who we are, and let us know if there's something you would like to see, commissioned artwork is available.

Speck combines photography, watercolor and various painting techniques to produce style he calls "art moderne." These showcases are a broad range of artwork from the fanciful to the decorative. Speck began his career painting in oils, then moved to watercolor and has been painting with acrylics for the past 6 years.

Throughout his 30-year career, Rusty has logged more than a quarter of a million miles sharing his art at festivals around the United States. And although Speck has done high-profile shows in cities like Chicago and Miami, he’s always happy to return to his booth on Pecan Street.
